About World Vision
World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.
Established in 1950 to care for orphans in Asia, World Vision has grown to embrace the larger issues of community development and advocacy for the poor in its mission to help children and their families build sustainable futures.
World Vision focuses on children because they are the best indicator of a community’s social health. When children are fed, sheltered, schooled, protected, valued, and loved a community thrives
Our Commitment to World Vision
Every month, LUNCH Actually commits a part of our proceeds to World Vision to support the Area Development Programme (ADP) efforts. Currently, in Singapore, we are supporting the Bohol, Philippines ADP. Our founders are also sponsoring a child from this ADP.
The overall goal of Bohol ADP is to improve the quality of life for the children, families and communities of the selected areas through various integrated development interventions. With the support and care of Singapore Child Sponsors, World Vision aims to help the children and families attain self-reliance by September 2015.
