Violet Lim & Jamie Lee
Upon observation of her friends and colleagues having little time for love due to their busy work schedules, Violet thought the idea of lunch dating would appeal greatly to the single busy professionals in Asia.
Having gained little personal satisfaction in her former work, Violet left her previous job with an international financial institution and a stable monthly income to start up her own dating business with her husband, Jamie Lee.
They met while studying at Manchester, where Jamie was pursuing a degree in Accounting & Finance, and coincidentally… they too had their first date over lunch! Jamie is Founding Director of LUNCH Actually and he is actively involved in the day-to-day running of the business.
A law graduate from University of Manchester and a Masters holder in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from London School of Economics, Violet has always been passionate about working with people! Violet is a natural when it comes to connecting with people from all walks of life. Having always been active in community service activities, she pounced upon the chance to be able to combine her passion of helping people with starting a business – creating a business that will make a difference in people’s lives.
To help her prepare for a new exciting career in matchmaking, Violet enrolled in the Matchmaking Institute in New York – the first educational institute in the world that set standards and a code of ethics in the matchmaking industry established by modern-day matchmakers.
In February 2004, Violet became the first Asian to be certified by the Matchmaking Institute in Matchmaking.
